Well here we are, in just one month from now, we will have in our hands arguably the most hyped game in this decade in Grand Theft Auto 6. This is has been 12 years in the making. Just last year, we got our first trailer but nothing else. Lots of discussion and speculation ever since. The game is already supposed to be out. To no surprise, it got delayed. But we got one more short trailer and then just recently, a real in-depth look.
It’s hard to believe that we’ve come this far in this series. If there’s any game that has sparked so much controversy about violence and adult content in gaming, it is GTA. It all started back in the PS2 era when the GTA series took a big 360. Not many today know this, but the first two GTA games were more on the

side of animated violence with a bird’s eye top-down approach. It wasn’t too realistic of gameplay. Then when the 3rd installment debuted on the PS2, it then went more 3rd person with the camera behind the character you were playing. In the two images above, you can clearly see the differences and we got a real life simulator with GTA 3. Since then, there have been real life incidents that have led to fines and legal issues. In the end, the games kept coming. Whatever the case may be right now, we are here eagerly waiting for GTA 6 to arrive.
As I started watching the Extended Look gameplay, it quickly gave away that it’s GTA: the harsh language and intense moments where you know something is about to go down any second. The gameplay shows the two characters you’ll be playing as in the missions, which are a criminal couple. They head into this gang controlled building to run an errand. You will just know that something big is going to happen at any moment, and it does. Bullets go flying and people going crazy. As I was watching the whole scene, it made me think of difficult it was to duck and cover often times in previous GTA games. It seemed to me like the whole process was smoother, especially with getting out of cover. I will have to play the game in order to actually find out.
The trailer continues on, with more of the story involving a cool high speed chase scene. We also see new features in the game that has made me excited to play it. Everything is going to be more dense. You’ll see more populated areas, especially in the water. Even going in gas stations and homes are going to be more detailed. You can even open up a refrigerator and take something out of it. I’ll also add that the weapon menu has been improved. It was quick, but the trailer showed the weapons and other items in two different groups. One big question is: What will be considered as an item for the Items section?
I will end by letting the pictures speak for themselves. A big day is upon us and if you haven’t checked out the video, it’s on Netflix and YouTube. Just look up GTA 6 Extended Trailer. If this is Rockstar’s final trailer before the release, this was one to end on. I will be pre-ordering my copy soon. With that, I will tell all about PRGE 2026 when I come back. It’s going to be a fun weekend. Enjoy the pictures!
